BG new place in the mountain 2023/4/23

      Constance/BG invited us to their new house up in the 新店 hilltop with elevation about 300meters, which is about the height of Mount Faber in Singapore. Thanks Constance for bringing us around to visit their entertainment facilities, most impressive is the big karaoke room. Swimming pool is close during colder season. 

        Celebrate Constance birthday together with BG daughter family.

Sunny Low catchup 2023/4/22

Met at IKEA for high tea with sunny low and wife Cindy. Great catching up with them and sunny planning to slow down work by resting on Thursday for leisure.

 

Makan session 2023/4/20

Met up with Janny Koh and GohLeeEng at humble house@XinYi recommended by Janny. They are doing a promotion for buy one get one free main course meal. Strategy is to order two main course (beef and burger) and two drinks (also buy one get one).

After finishing the meal, pass by the 燒餅 shop along Heping east road recommended by 王先生。

iPhone photo cut out feature

    Apple iPhone photo option allows cut out from photo, which I use to combine with other photos into one single photo. Latest IOS allows just tapping on photo, single-continuous image can be cut and paste into another Apps (I am using FreeForm)

These are four photos that was used to combine into one single photo above. Some colour adjustment is being performed to make it brighter. Freeform allow export in pdf file, which I need to convert to JPG format for easy sharing purposes.

Dessert Party 2023/4/4

Thank you MK for making the dessert party possible, who single-hand prepared all cakes and biscuits. Very nice of kakis preparing English tea, Kopitiam Kopi and Tea Aria to goes with the sweet stuffs. We have also friend bringing savory stuff, home bake carrot cake and uniquely Sgean titbits (Chick Pean and Belinjo) too. All had a wonderful afternoon party at Tamshui and it was a noisy chatty day with everyone talking simultaneously 🎉

Outing at GuanYing Mountain 2023/4/3

    Ad-Hoc outing trip on a sunny but cooling day during the five days of public holiday. Invited GLE to join us for the outing car trip to GuanYing mountain and pick her up at 9am at YuanShan mrt station.

Visited two Chinese temples (林雲寺 和 林雲禪寺) and had lunch at 碧瑤山莊.  Surprisingly, lady boss still remember me when I visited the place during covid period hiking up here. For that, thanks for the complimentary dish. The restaurant is their ancestor home for over hundred years and few generations. Even the Logan trees is old, over two hundred year old.

Jenny/GLE cook Sg dishes and titbits 2023/4/2

 Invited cook consultant Goh Lee Eng coming over to our place to fried the Singapore-style Pork Knuckle Mee-Hoon. GLE brought the Mee-Hoon and have an old can of pork knuckle to up the taste buds.

MaoKong with Jeslyn & Veronica 20230303

Accompanied Jeslyn Ngee Ann classmate Veronica to MaoKong for a stroll sightseeing on a Friday morning . Walk along 樟樹步道 for a short distance and lucky to see flower still blooming. Great weather for photo taking. Thanks for their lunch treat too. Leave early after lunch for my line dance class.

SGeans Hiking 大溝溪 - 20230211

Thank you Cindy for initiating this hiking trip at NeiHu 大溝溪。Contacted fellow Singaporeans and friends and meet up at NeiHu station on a Saturday. Later LF and friends joined us halfway. Great hiking up to the waterfall. Follow by a high tea at a cozy restaurant just  nearby.

 

豬腳米粉Party - 20230225

Invited Goh Lee Eng to teach Jenny how to cook 豬腳米粉 with the can food brought from Singapore. Janny Koh also come along to learn how to cook it. Invited also my cousin Sam Ho over to have munch together since he is alone here in Taiwan. 

Added BakKuTeh soup for the lunch, manage to get the meat pancake. Follow by Chinese health tea by Janny, then Bachan coffee, and then Sg tea leave drink. Everyone like the strong sense fish keropo from Singapore .
