Christmas Eve makan meet 2023

Tried this ShanDong restaurant@XinDian area with friends from 社福館. Found the dishes are pretty delicious and worth bringing friends to try. Taking the opportunity to meet up on Christmas Eve with fellow Singaporeans and friends. All are satisfied with the quality of foods here, some said they will visit again. Average each pair about $600 plus. Next time if visit again, will try to budget at $500.

Ah Bee Cakery - 20231217

Visited MK newly opened cake shop at 板橋 area. MK has took over previously cafe owner shop but need to get his own furnitures. Coffee and T2 Tea is now in their Menu. Thanks MK for the brownie cake, delicious.

Swensen Dinner - 20231212

Makan meet at Swensen, takingnthe opportunity to meet up with GLE after her medical operation. Sunny mentioned he is back from China also joined us. Jeslyn managed to squizz time to join. Spagetti meal weren't that special but the iceceam choice back back younger memories for some of us.

Sg Nov. 2023 - Sending off eldering relative

Dick’s father passed away on Saturday 10/29 and we flies into Singapore on the next day, Sunday 10/30. Went straight to punggol by MRT/LRT  to attend the funeral wake and also on Monday for the journey Mandai.

Sg Nov. 2023 - City visiting

Roamed around city area by visiting museums, The National Museum, Peranakan museum, National Gallery. Also walk along the Singapore river when the sun is setting. Looking at the old national library site and MPH bookstore, no more in the corner building. But the YMCA building opposite Cathay cinema is still around. Take leisure walk through re-build Funan Centre, along its basement linkway and come out from Lido Threatre which has also been transformed. Walked along Singapore river and returned to Park Royal Hotel.

Sg Nov. 2023 - Saturday@Jurong Lake

Hwei brought me to Jurong Lake garden for a morning wallk and ended at Jurong West Hawker centre for BaKuTeh breakfast. We  even practise 24style TaiChai at the scenic spot facing the Juring Lake. Nice.

Sg Nov. 2023 - NTU visiting

Take at trip with Lay Hoon to visit Megan at her NTU domitory at Blk 14.  Megan took up to visit the various facilites, laudary, reading room.

Completed my mission to visit 3rd Auntie. Had lunch with her.

Sg Nov. 2023 - TeaHouse Friends visiting

Met up with old fried fromTea House. All retirees except one. Had dinner at nearby hawker centre.

Always feel good to be able to catch up with Choo Beng Kee. Thanks for taking the trouble to come Chinatown meeting me. Thanks for the dinner treat and Coffee talk time. Till we meet again.
