Munich@Germany FEB 2011

One of the major task during the Munich trip is to visit our new Supplier, TITAN luggages. Whose office and factory is located in the outskirt of Munich city. The office is pretty clean-cut style of German office with glass and steel structure construction. Yes, the Boss of the company greeted us in Chinese's dialect, cantonese and chinese. Not forgetting the tall size of founder, which is one head higher than us and very overwhelming indid.
Being the first time travelling to Munich@Germany. Temperature is the greatest challenge well before making travelling there. All keep-warm clothing and accessories has been purchase in order to keep myself warm and dry. Actually, the overall weather is even much better than Taipei, where is cold and wet. Munich indoor is well heated with central heater and you can just wear single layer of clothing indoor. The only condition, it's too dry and one has keep hydrated to maintain our skin going too dry. We have to open the hotel's window for fesh air.
Linderhorf Castle
Meeting has been quite satisfactory with all our Suppliers, though me and my colleague has falled ill during the trip. It has been a great challenge accompanying my colleague  visiting to the local German clinic for consultation. Without the local help from Taiwanese friend's friend in Germany, I think it would takes us ages to locate the clinic. Which only marked with German language and very ulu (marking not in German only), though it's located in the city area (somemore near the central train station too).
Well, my cough which I brought all the way from Taipei + Singapore, then to Germany is cured by the great phamatucial medicine from German. I brought two three bottles, first bottle cured my cough after finishing about three quarter. Couldn't help to buy another two bottles, one for 大嫂 and one for Taipei home.
Salzburg Castle
與台灣同胞杏珠的合照
The good thing about the German railway is they have special ticket packages for 2 to 5 passengers (Someone mentioned its only valid for weekend, yet to verify). Meaning the more partner you have for the trip, you can then share ticket fee and reduce the expenses for the trip. The fee of the train ticket is inclusive of bus transport at the other end, ie. Garmisch and Salzburg cities. The buses are very luxury and accessible at all tourist sitez and people are very friendly.
An old man at Salzburg even come forward to tell us we are in the wrong direction without even asking. The key is to hold a tourist map on hand to signify you are a foreigner...ha ha ha.  That's to say, don't leave home without a map.

Garmisch, a Skiing little town, cozy place with shopping street.

Words from a great man I admire and thankful.

In an interview for an upcoming book, Lee said he was prepared for his wife's death.
"I cannot choose how I'm going to go. I just carry on my life and that's that. If you start thinking about it, you will go downhill. Every day is a bonus, so let's carry on," Lee said.
Eugene Tan, a law professor at the Singapore Management University, told AFP that concerns over Lee's health were understandable but stressed the veteran leader's "stoicism and sense of duty."
"MM Lee is in a robust state of health for someone his age," Tan said, adding that "it may well be that MM Lee will now devote all his time and energy to
his life project, Singapore."

Waterway Terraces @ Punggol

Punggol's Preimum - Waterfront address, my home.
http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10321p.nsf/w/BuyingNewFlatYourAppl?OpenDocument
Waterway Terraces commands a prime location next to the proposed town centre, near the Punggol MRT/LRT station and right along the waterway. This landmark waterfront development consists of three 18-storey blocks, joined together in a hexagonal arrangement to form three intimate courtyards. Choose from 1,072 units of 3-room, 4-room and 5-room Premium flats. The application is now almost 12times over-subscribed. WAH! I am just lucky to be one of the almost 7000 applicants. The wide range of facilities within Waterway Terraces include an eating house, a supermarket, shops, a Residents’ Committee Centre, a student care centre, a child care centre and an education centre. With the development’s unique interlinked block layout, residents can enjoy sheltered connection to all these amenities. Drivers will also appreciate the convenience of having direct lift access from all blocks to the basement car park Head over to the landscaped common green along the waterfront promenade to use the range of playgrounds and fitness facilities there. You can also choose to enjoy a breezy riverside jog or a leisurely stroll. Besides these, there are also intimate hexagon-shaped courtyards framed by the residential blocks. These courtyards offer garden spaces where you can relax and unwind. The 4 rooms layout is the best of the two layouts without odd corners. Take in splendid views of the waterfront as you relax at you four room flat's balcony facing the river and amid the lush green surrounds.

One-sided dices - Good game for CNY

How to play the game

Equipments: 6 dices, each with only one side printed with dot (numbering from 1 to 6). One reasonable size bowl. Plus many fun loving players.

Fund: Each player provides $$$, Multiple of 21 (cents, ten cents and dollar). Try to contribute in loose coins for ease of playing. These will be a consolidate FUND for the game, put in a visible and reachable location for all players.
For the purpose of explanation: One point of the dice counting will represents one coin (cents, ten cents and dollars).

Game start selection: Organiser will throw the 6 dices to select who starts the game. The dices total number, counting clockwise from the Organiser, he/she will starts the ball rolling.
Starts: The First person to start the game will throw the 6 dices, count the total points for all the six dices ( could range from zero to 21 points). He/she will collects the same number of coins from the consolidated pool of fund.
Then proceed to the next players (clockwise) until the fund is in-sufficent for collection.
Example, if the consolidated fund is left with say 5 coins and the throw dices shows a total points of 7. The player instead, has to contribute 2 coins to the fund pool. Next player will throw the dices. If dices' points is less than in the bowl, the player will collect coins, else put in coins (dice points minus number of coins left) as forefeit.

How the game ends: The game will end only when one of the player strike the same total dices points equal the number of coins in the fund pool. That's when the fun of the game. Each and every players, beside the winner has to contribute to the winner the final points (in coins) in the bowl.

Forefeit: If the dice/s goes out of the bowl, the player has to pay a fine of coins(depending the points that appearing on the dice/s).
