During the National Day rally speech by PM Lee. Paya Leba Military Airbase will be moved to Changi in the future. Paya Leba land will be release for housing and development. Surrounding area will have their height restriction lifted. Does that means there will be more high-rise building the this east  part of Singapore?

Straits Times news, 2013/10/7: It is annouced today that Downtown line stage 1 will be open in December 2013 and the Eastern portion will be completed in Year 2017. The eastern sector will connect all the way to EXPO station and passing Macpherson stn. One can also takes this line to Northern end of Singapore (Bukit Panjang).

Pulau Ubin, rustic part of Singapore city state.

Time is always moving, but memory of yesterday is becoming more vivid and one misses the good time during younger time. Time were the days when you finished school, playtime started with LaYang (kite flying) and playing with non-technological stuffs (like TOPPING and MARBLE simply "off-theshelf" type of games).

Remembering the house we I borned at Farrer Road. Still can remember the house number is "69". The roof is ZINC-roof and somehow it is design to expand as family gets married and has its own family. The rooms are inter-connected and each managing their own Kitchen.

Pulau Ubin would be kept in its rustic state "for as long as possible, to serve as an outdoor playground for Singaporeans". That what the government has declared recently on newspaper. Its the last "frontier" of olden Singapore kumpung-style.

Will find time to re-visit Pulau Ubin for bicycling trip.

Travelling between SG and MY in the future.

The stage is set for the building of High-Speed Rail (HSR) between Singapore and Malaysia capital by Year 2020. Understand it will be using the Chinese HSR 動車system.

No need to wait for departure or immigration clearance. Less disruption from weather condition. The train interval schedule will be less than one hour. The seat inside HSR will be bigger and more comfortable than aircraft. You can have your meeting at either location and back home well before dinner time. Speed is reaching 300km/hour and considerable very safe as compared to air travel. It travel on solid ground. Wonder where is the station located at Singapore end of the line.

Who knows. it might extend to Thailand and further connected to China. A new way will travelling and touring will emerge in time to comes.

Life in Singapore is changing, locals feeling foreign in their own land. Quality of life is deteriorate. Price is getting expensive. Politic wise, at least the middle income group I know is shifting their thought. Jobs has been losing to foreigners, due to government un-controlled system of employment act.

Got the feeling a change in the ERA. The head of UKSecret Service has changed a new face with major actors changes. Overall the film lack the technology that most double O seven depicts in preious films. Love to see beautiful ladies, the romance and innovative gadgets.

Punggol - Bring back memory.

It has been quite a while since my first job doing reclamation work at North Eastern Coast, ie. Punggol in the 1990s. Meaning its already twenty odd years and the sand has more or less settle down, ready for developement. Just like Marina Bay reclamation work. Its really hard solid lont temr planning by the government of Singapore. Many will admire such projected planning.
Remember the seafood restuarant CHUN-SING at the number 81 bus terminal and the only Petrol Kiosk with little businesses activity. The seaview is great, the seabreeze is cooling.

I took my SG flag and angled myself in-line with Taipei City Icon.
People asked why I cannot goes closer. Well, there is a V-VIP guest 陳韻玲 from the other side China (PRC). Unless I am driving with the yellow colour "外" license plate car, else I will be blocked at the foot of the hill.

Chiam and his sister plus nephew came for a one week tour of Taiwan, including KaoHisung, TaiChung and Taipei. Chiam extended his tour and stays at our place for another one week. I pick him up at BeiTou hotel on Sunday night together with Jenny.

We have two T-shirts "SINGAPORE" from, a Merlion magnet which is already stick to our refrigerator. A Merlion jazzsaw puzzle, hoping the part will stick on, else need to invite the kids back to assemble it. Not forgetting the Bak-Ku-Teh.
