Mooncake festival BBQ 2023/9/29

Thanks Janny family for inviting us to their roof top garden for BBQ during 2023 Mooncake Festival, which falls on a Friday. Meet at 5.30pm together with BG and Constance. Luckily, there is convenient parking lots at former AIT office nearby.

Thanks BG for the pomelo and Mooncake gift box. Appreciate Janny for taking time to prepare the bbq stuffs and drinks. I try to bring some extra lighting power to brighten the setting, making the foods looks more delicious. Great company and nice chat not meeting for quite a while among us friends.

NTU classmate visited TaiPing mountain 2023/9/24

Details travel plan formerly put in execution. We wait up 5.45  very early driving to 礁溪 to meet the gang of friends for the long waited trip to 太平山。Driver name is 小吳, a local resident from Yilan and very familiar with the touring area at 太平山。We walks a few short trail and visited a beautiful lake under beautiful sunlight. Prehaps, the fun part is riding the mountain mini-train or 碰碰車。Lunch was simple eating fried rice, but dinner was good with tank-chicken 桶子雞。

Northern Coast outing 2023/9/17

Finally jenny decided to go for walk at 三芝, where l recommends lunch at this cafe cum art studio. However, we decided to visit 小馬🐎cafe next door where siting is more cozy and we can actually feed the mini-horse. We ordered two drinks.

Drove along the coastline on the northern Taiwan, settle lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant. Return home from direction of KeeLung.

What is your legacy 2023/9/9

Attended Jenny’s relative funeral at 台北第一殯儀館。Saw this phrase printed under the funeral company , which keep me pondering about my life. Do I need a legacy for just live as a normal human being on earth?

58th National Day Formal invited Party 2023/8/7

Thank you NTU Alumni in Taiwan for making it possible to attend SG National Day’s official party organized by SG trade office on August 7 at Grand Hyatt Hotel 6.30pm . We gathered at 6.20pm for a group photograph at the lobby’s fountain. Registration was smooth going using QR code. Alumni also send a bouquet flower for the grand occasion. Thanks 王學長 for making all co-ordination works.

 

58th National Day Party 2023/8/5

Nation Day party for all Singaporeans and friends in Taiwan at Grand Hyatt Hotel. They have chefs who can prepared Singaporeans foods. Door gifts is good this year with ingredients cooking paste from Prima.

 

Cousin Ah Ping visit on 2023/7/26

Typhoon arrived nearby Taiwan while cousin is touring Taiwan with her two buddy. Promised to bring them to YangMing national park, however it rains heavily and not safe to travel in the mountain. However did met up with Ah Ping and brought them dinner at 朱記。She mentioned 6th uncle likes 貢唐, which I travelled by MRT all the way to 板橋「土豆齋」and brought it to W-Hotel@XingYi district.

 

Cindy send off party 2023/7/23

       Cindy Anthony mentioned, she is leaving Taiwan for good and going back home Singapore to accompany her aging parent. A bunds of us meet up at Constance place for a simple potluck session. While visiting the function centre, decided to enjoy a karaoke session and some fun time. Jenny make green bean Hot dessert with tapioca and barley added. Clarissa’s carrot cake is delicious, which I bring back the leftover for another meal.

謝如仙的書「你的誦經，我的迴響」2023/7月

        謝謝如仙學姐寄送著作來台灣，難得有機會使用PayNow處理採購款項。書的內容敘述與步入高齡長輩的點點滴滴。我們這一輩好像都會碰到「高齡矢志」的困擾，如何處理及面對這狀況，可以從書裡得到一些啟發。

High Tea at Art Center 2023/7/16

Two of us spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon with GLE at ShiLin Performance Art center just beside JianTang mrt station. It’s 7th floor has an ACME restaurant outlet, which has full glass wall overlooking beautiful Mountain View. Chair is comfortable, ceiling is high and it feels spacious. Unfortunately, only realised few days later that we have most likely left a new power bank. Restaurant said, they found none power bank after we enquired.

 

Megan Foo in Taiwan 2023/7/9

Counted that is the fourth times Megan is here in Taiwan. Earlier being whole family trip (Dick, LayHoon, Mavis & Megan), remembering bringing the whole gang to 六福村 amusement park. Still have the video seeing both taking a pony ride.  The previous trip when they tour japan and drop by Taiwan (Dick and Megan), sill has the photo taken at 淡水漁人碼頭。

July 2023 is special where Megan came with her best friend Anissa Chan Yan Wen and roam around Taipei city on their own. I got them each a travel card 都會通 for east travelling. Surprisingly, both can accept stingy tofu, especially Anissa who tried many version of stingy tofu. Invited Theo our house for quick using Panda delivery and thereafter brought them to YuanShan hotel. 

 

Meet up with QiaoLing 2023/6/24

QiaoLing family lives at TaiChung city, she mentioned coming over to Taipei this weekend. Asked whether I would like to meet them at Suzzanne place for lunch. Constance said she can join. Meet a new SG friend Dherese in person after so long on Facebook, who also has two beautiful kids. QiaoLing daughter has grown tall and lovely, since we last meet at Ellen place. 

Had HorFun with chili today, pretty good by Suzzanne.

端午節到葆哥家作客2023/6/23

Went to 永何緬甸街 for DimSum lunch with BG and Constance. BG brought chicken meat on the way while crossing fresh foods market for making curry at dinner. Followed by visit to their mountain top house. Janny Koh and husband join us thereafter for dinner and chat till 9.30pm late. Thanks Constance for making lemon drink and BG for brewing our favorite Kopi. Heavy rains today too, beautiful weather and temperature to be up in the mountain.
