Suggestion from Kim Huat
From Grindelwald, you can make day trip to lauterbrunen and interlaken. There is a nice restaurant at the top of the mountain at interlaken. Place call Harder Klum. In lauterbrunen, can take train to Jungfrau ( top of Europe) but it will almost be a whole day. Can do trek around lauterbrunen for a few hours
Mountain railroad to the Harder Kulm

The Harder Kulm is located in the municipal area of Unterseen. The Kulm is reached from the valley station in Interlaken in eight minutes by the Harderbahn. From the Interlaken Ost train station, the Harderbahn station is a ten-minute walk across the Aare River.

The Harderbahn is a standing cable railway, which was inaugurated in 1908. It has the peculiarity that it does not go up in a direct path. It takes a semicircular curve on the mountain and crosses a tunnel. The Harderbahn runs from mid-April to the end of November.
